Today we would like to highlight our client Beautyologie and their redesigned and relaunched e-commerce website.
Beautyologie is establishing itself as a market leader in the clean beauty industry as a marketplace that brings consumers fair trade, cruelty free and sustainable beauty products. They feature skincare products and make up sourced all over the world, especially from developing countries, and produced with fair trade practices, with only clean, non-toxic, organic and sustainably sourced ingredients. Each time you buy a product from a marketplace like Beautyologie, you make a difference in the world, and help create solutions to issues such as overuse of natural resources, women’s empowerment, helping the lives of refugees, promoting equality and human rights.

Platform selection – Shopify
We designed the Beautyologie website on the Shopify Platform because of its “all in one package” platform specifications and multiple customization options. Shopify remains a reliable and widely trusted platform that offers merchant processing, product and category management options, a broad range of design templates, and strong integration with third-party apps and plugins.

Quality Website Design
When visitors arrive at your website, it is very important to capture their attention immediately. The website needs to have a good structure, appealing and professional graphics, and include original, quality content. Web users are impatient — if they don’t find what they are looking for within the first few clicks of visiting your website, they will most likely leave and go to another beauty website. With the Beautyologie website we implemented bold and attractive graphics with photos of skincare products and their applications.

User Friendly Website Navigation
Creating a user friendly navigation for an online store is crucial for enhancing the user experience and therefore increasing conversions. With a clear and simple menu structure, we have created a guide for customers to find what they are looking for. We structured categories based on several principles of how consumers discover beauty products. We limited the main navigation categories in order not to overwhelm users, while creating more detailed, clearly labeled sub-categories to help users find exactly what they need. We also implemented detailed product filters to further assist e-commerce buyers in narrowing their choices. A consistent navigation layout is maintained across all pages to avoid confusion.

To further enhance the user experience, we implemented a prominent search bar visible on all pages. We added auto-suggestions to help users find what they are looking for, along with advanced filters to help them refine their search results based on various criteria such as ingredients, origin, product type, or the specific concern they are addressing.

The design we created for Beautyologie is fully responsive and optimized for mobile devices. All sections of the website are accessible across different devices including desktops, laptops, tablets, and mobile phones.
